Book launch: You Were Supposed To Love Me (The Break Up Book).

Award winning Author Winsome ‘Lyrical Healer’ Duncan has been writing for over 20 years. You Were Supposed To Love Me is her third book title, which is currently being interpreted by public images at her valentine Art Exhibition which will be displayed in 2014.

Breaking up is hard to do and can often leave women with a gapping internal void. The end of a relationship can signify an emotional time in her life. You Were Supposed To Love Me is a transitional book for those experiencing the final curtain call on their relationship. It takes into account the devastation felt when coping with a newly formed single life.

You Were Supposed To Love Me investigates the blockages to healthy relationships like sexual abuse, drug addiction, paranoia and mental health challenges, which can often impair the female/male communication. This collection of real life female stories is spoken in the narrative of one voice. You Were Supposed To Love Me explores how you can recover after living at Heartbreak hotel and adjust into a fulfilling single life.  This text is periodically poetic in its delivery.

Book excerpt: “I planted flowers of optimism in our garden and you trampled on hope, faith and charity. I hug myself at night to prevent a nervous breakdown, rocking back and forth in the bed. I blame me for your departure. It is easier if I shoulder our break up responsibility. Conversations of ‘yeah we are getting married’ immediately fade and the grasshoppers look on and laugh at me.”
